| Another often seen
flower along the road. Have no idea what they are though |
Still on Rt. 98,
just some views |
of the terrain,
vegetation and distant mountains and bluffs. |
| A lone butte |
and a growing
canyon |
Here is an
interesting formation |
| and these were
just to the Left of it. (visible from a distance on the previous
page) |
At Page we left
Rt. 98 for Rt. 89 and headed south, where we picked up 89 Alt and |
headed back
north after climbing a ridge and descending into Marble Canyon. |
| Once in the canyon
we continued north along the eastern side |
before turning
west, crossing the Colorado river at Navajo Bridge |
and following the
western canyon walls south |
| past the
vermillion cliffs |

| We stopped at a
small shelter just to the left of these rocks were some Indians had set of |
some tables
of jewelry and Renata bought a couple of necklaces for our girls. |
We followed Rt.
89Alt to Jacobs Lake where we took Rt. 67 south into the park. (see map) |
| We traveled first
to the end of 67 at the Grand Canyon Lodge where |
I hiked to
overlook and shot |
these pictures and
some on the next page. |
