On Sunday 5/25 Erik drove us up to Vancouver where we checked in to your hotel for the beginning of our Rocky Mountaineer tour.

Monday we were given a bus tour of Vancouver and areas north of the city where I took these pictures.  Looking South East from  Vancouver we could see Mt. Baker back in Washington.

We first stopped at Queen Elizabeth Park, south of the city center.

Various views of the Gardens which are situated on a hill and down into an old quarry in the top. the 1st & 2nd pictures in the second row are looking  from the Garden to the mountains to the North. The 1st & 2nd pictures in the 3rd row are  of a statuary grouping of a photographer (foreground) and 3 subjects (background) and the 3rd is of one of many groups of ,mostly Chinese, ladies doing Tai Chi. The last picture of the group is of a tree which has roots growing from the trunk above ground and also from some of the branches. Most unusual.

Our next stop, after being driven around the city (The old town, Chinatown, Downtown) was Stanley Park were we stopped to see a collections of Totem Poles.
